Symmetry Healthcare Strategies and Washington Hospital Services have partnered to launch the Washington State Registry Program

PRINCETON, NJ, MARCH 29, 2013 – Symmetry Healthcare Strategies and Washington Hospital Services have partnered to launch the Washington State Registry Program, a stand-alone, web-based, supplemental staffing service available to any healthcare organization in Washington State, totally free of charge. “Symmetry has had great success in working with hospital associations to provide their members with 100% vendor neutral staffing solutions,” said Robin Robertson, Vice President of Washington Hospital Services, “and we’re happy to provide this important program to our members.”

The Washington State Registry Program provides an easy and cost-effective way for healthcare facilities to obtain quality supplemental staff. By joining the program, members are able to reduce staffing gaps and ensure continuity of care via easy access to various nursing and allied health professionals.  The program streamlines access to supplemental staff through pre-qualified staffing agencies.  Ongoing compliance audits are performed on all agencies, allowing participating healthcare facilities access to accurate and complete personnel paperwork prior to assignment.  In order to provide facilities with ease of access and the ability to address time-sensitive staffing issues, members participating in the Washington State Registry Program can instantly communicate staffing needs electronically via the web-based software, ShiftExpress.  ShiftExpress is used to support staffing programs for several state hospital associations and is currently deployed in more than 345 facilities and agencies nationally.

“Our unique experience in working with hospital associations, combined with our staffing program expertise and web-based vendor management system (VMS), ShiftExpress, allows us to bring significant value to both the healthcare facilities and staffing agencies involved in the program. We’re very excited to be working with Washington Hospital Services and their members,” said Guy P. Evans, President and CEO of Symmetry.
